The Cocoa Initiative

Trinidad's cocoa has the distinction of being one of the seven registered fine flavor cocoas in the world.
That’s something to be proud of and a reason to boost local cocoa production.

We are a strong advocate for the revitalization of the cocoa industry in Trinidad and Tobago.

We plant cocoa trees any chance we get, and we currently grow our cocoa trees the “organic” way. Rancho Quemado Estate Limited (Established 2007) is comprised of 45 Acreas located at 1 3/4 mile road Rancho Quemado. The area is rich in history producing mostly cocoa but also bananas and citrus.

Cocoa Bank Member

Rancho Quemado Estates Ltd., has signed up with the Sustainability of Cocoa Bank charged with ensuring the sustainability of 200 species of cocoa.

Cocoa Farmers Hub

RQEL is aiming to expand its post harvest facilities so that we can be a hub for other small cocoa farmers in the area. This way a high quality standard can be maintained for beans being produced and prepared for making fine flavor chocolates.

Cocoa products
produced by Rancho

Made from our own cocoa, we make cocoa powder, cocoa butter, cocoa liquor/mass in bulk to supply chocolatiers.

Wine Products

Crafted From Curiosity.
Perfected By Passion.

Our journey into winemaking started with a desire to honor every part of the cocoa plant. Transforming its rich, aromatic juice into a vibrant new wine revealed flavors we never imagined. Celebrated internationally and recognized with a Silver Medal from the International Chocolate Awards, we’re proud to introduce a wine that’s as bold as its origins.
